Anti-Ragging Policy
Our institution strictly follows a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form. In accordance with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and guidelines issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, ragging is considered a criminal offense and is prohibited both inside and outside the campus. The safety, dignity, and well-being of every student—especially newcomers—is our highest priority.
To enforce this, our Anti-Ragging Committee is actively involved in maintaining a ragging-free environment by monitoring student behavior and taking prompt action on any complaints. The committee comprises faculty members, senior staff, and student representatives who work collaboratively to prevent and eliminate any instances of harassment, bullying, or intimidation.
We conduct regular awareness drives, orientation sessions, counseling programs, and interactive workshops to educate students on the serious consequences of ragging under the UGC Anti-Ragging Regulations, 2009. Posters and helpline numbers are displayed across the campus, and a 24/7 complaint mechanism is available both offline and online to ensure easy reporting without fear of retaliation.
As per government norms, every student is also required to submit an Anti-Ragging Undertaking (both student and parent) during admission via the UGC’s national anti-ragging portal (www.antiragging.in). Failure to comply or involvement in ragging may result in severe disciplinary action including suspension, expulsion, or legal prosecution.
Our college, with the active support of the government and academic bodies, remains fully committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive academic environment for all.
